We here at MSP headquarters would like to apologize for missing the last couple of weeks' posts--due to some unforeseen plumbing mishaps, we had to vacate our house and the blogging unfortunately fell by the wayside. But now we're back and we're great, so let's get on to what's making me happy this week:
- Hot and cold running water. It's one of those things that's easy to take for granted, living in the first world, but you learn to appreciate it very quickly once it's gone. That first shower after returning home was great.
- Can I get a little sappy for a moment? I'm normally very skeptical of advertising, but every time I see this Lowes commercial it makes me sigh and smile:
- I worried a bit, before Eva was born, how Jason would be with her, whether he'd be jealous of her or mean to her. But it's turned out that he's a really good big brother. When she cries, he tries to comfort her by giving her toys or singing to her, or just telling her "It's OK." And yesterday when he found out that she had gotten her first shots, he felt so bad for her that he cried, himself. He's just so sweet and caring. It caught me off-guard, and it makes me so proud. I'm sure that there will be friction as they get older, but for now, at least, it's wonderful to see them together.
Happy weekend, everybody!
